Our organization is developing a gastroenterology practice in a tremendously underserved area close to a very desirable city in North Carolina. This opportunity presents itself due to the retirement of two of the four gastroenterologists who were practicing in this city. Those who have retired had a vibrant GI practice and together preformed 70-75 procedures each week.
We are interested in partnering with a gastroenterologist who is interested in tailoring their scope of practice and performing 35-45 procedures each week in a freestanding, practice-owned Endoscopy Center. All procedures will be provided with propofol anesthesia. This physician can choose to be hospital affiliated or not. They will be assisted by an extender, either Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant. The practice will be supported by the local hospital-affiliated general surgical practice, but also has the ability to refer to Duke University Medical Center, Moses Cone Medical Center, University of Virginia Medical Center, and/or Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
This area affords great schools and cultural and community life. You will be three hours from fantastic beaches, two from the mountains, and only one from a magnificent lake. There are many highly rated golf course in the area. The state of North Carolina has a tremendous, affordable Public University System and prime access to ACC sporting events. The quality of life in this area is one of the highest in the nation.
You will not find another unique gastroenterological practice opportunity such as this one. It is well-planned and well-funded by an experienced team. You will be able to develop the practice you desire and receive the level of reimbursement you deserve. In addition, you will be helping a great community in desperate need of gastroenterological care. There is not a better position in America.
