Description
Location: Near Glendale, AZ (inquire for specific Hospital location) Duration: ASAP-Ongoing, until permanently filled – 1 year commitment preferred, min. of 6 months Reason for coverage: Increase in patient volumes Schedule: 7 days per month, every 4th week of the month – Monday-Sunday inpatient coverage Shift: Flexible, 24 hour inpatient coverage with night call from home. (client would also consider just daytime inpatient coverage 1 week/month and no night call) Call: negotiable night call. (There is an inhouse nocturnist covering BMT patients from 5p-6a currently) Patient volume: 10-15 inpatients Scope: Pediatric Hematology Oncology for Bone Marrow Transplant patients – autologous and allogeneic, floor status primary coverage with APP assisting, and collaboration with PICU for patients requiring ICU care. EMR: Allscripts Hospital: Group/support: 3 BMT attendings available any time for back up. 4.8 APP coverage. Pre/Post BMT RN coordinators. Requirements (boards, license): BC, ACGME or AOA accredited Residency and Fellowship program, Active PALS (AHA ), Open to license, Active AZ license and/or IMLC Compact but open to see non-licensed for the right fit.

Skills
- Education/Training: completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency training program in Pediatrics or Pediatrics, Internal Medicine AND completion of an ACGME accredited Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program.- Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics; Also prefer they have completed an additional year in BMT (Bone Marrow Transplantation). - Clinical Experience: must provide documentation of provision of pediatric hematology/oncology services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months. Provide documentation of 5 pediatric cases (should include date, procedure, pt.'s. age or DOB, and facility).
