NP/PA Responsibilities- Obtain patient medical history
- Measure/record physiologic and growth indices
- Apply health promotion principles and techniques
- Provides acute and chronic patient care including physicals, monitoring therapies, injections, minor office surgical procedures, and prescribing medications
- Triage all patient calls and take appropriate action
- Respond to medical emergencies by taking appropriate action
- Practice in a manner that effectively maintains patient confidentiality
- Review labs, diagnostic studies, and physical therapy progress notes
- Accurately and completely record all pertinent information in the patient’s medical record
NP/PA Qualifications- Graduate degree as a Physician’s Assistant
- Current state license
- Current Controlled Dangerous Substances Permit or the ability to obtain one
- Current DEA License or the ability to obtain one
- Current BLS/ACLS registration
- Able to stand, walk or sit for an extended period of time
- Abie to help transfer patients
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Use problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Use interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with others in and outside of work
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have knowledge of basic principles of Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Must be versatile with the ability to perform a wide variety of duties, tasks and assignments
- Considerable knowledge of grammar, punctuation, spelling and arithmetic
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Must be willing to travel
