Physician / Psychiatry / New York / Locum or Permanent / MD - Psychiatrist Outpatient Job

Academic Hospital in Greater NYC is seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist due to a pending retirement, hybrid schedule with 3 days WFH, and possibility of 4-day work week.

• Part of outpatient department that has 7 adult psychiatrists and 1 child psychiatrist
• Hybrid schedule of 2 days onsite and 3 days from home (could consider 4 day work week)
• Adult only care - med management appointments and new patient evaluations
• Expect 1-2 new patients per day, have therapy services on site
• Clinically rich environment (primarily medicare/medicaid) with a variety of psychopathologies and patients facing many economic pressures and social determinants
• AllScripts EMR
• No call required, all emergencies handled by call services and hospital psychiatrists on call
• Academic environment - typically 3-4 PGY3 residents in the clinic at a time, opportunity to teach if desired
• Mon-Fri schedule flexible start time 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm - no call, evenings or weekends required
