Physician / Gastroenterology / Iowa / Locum tenens / Seeking Gastroenterology Provider Support in IA Job

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 3 years of Residency - Required
• Active IA License or IMLC - Required
• BLS - Required -AHA cert
• Provider must be willing/able to work outpatient. This role does not require any inpatient services - Required
• EGD, Colonoscopy - Required, note how many years of experience
• ERCP & EUS - Required, note how many years of experience
• COVID Vaccine - Required
• Clean Malpractice/Background - Strongly Preferred (Documentation for any settled/pending cases must be uploaded at time of name clear)

• June - ongoing; 3 weeks/month - flexible on weeks of coverage during the month
• Open to considering multiple providers who can piece together 3 weeks/month coverage, but prefers one provider who can cover it all
• Monday-Friday, 8a-4p
• No weekends, no call
• Scopes only; colonoscopies and endoscopies only
• ERCP and EUS Required
• 30 min procedures
• Uses conscious sedation
• 10-12 procedures/day
• Adult only
• EMR: Provation

• Would you consider a provider who can only do ERCP (not EUS)? - Yes, we would consider a provider who is only certified in ERCP and not in EUS.
  • How often is EUS required in an outpatient setting? we don't do a ton of EUS procedures in the outpatient setting.
• Is it only procedural or does it involve clinic at all? - This is just procedural. They will be doing scopes all day.
• What is support staff like? - We have 1-2 support nurses in each procedure room.
• How often is conscious sedation required in the outpatient setting? - 100% conscious sedation.
• Is there a code team in the event a patient codes while under conscious sedation? - There is no code team at the Clive Endoscopy Center.

• Malpractice (must be included in rates)

• Conversion Fee ($25k rate cap)
