Description
A facility is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services for children, transitional-aged youth, adults, and older adults residing in Service Planning Area 6, who are experiencing serious or persistent mental illness or emotional disturbance. They provide services in a caring, compassionate environment promoting a shared vision of improving lives and empowering individuals to recover. Service delivery is holistic, collaborative, multidisciplinary, and culturally competent, focusing on the individual; and when appropriate with the involvement and support of family or significant other. The highly trained mental health staff, together with our strong leadership, create an unwavering commitment to quality services based on our belief in the resiliency and potential of the individuals we serve. The facility is located in the southern Los Angeles region right off the 110 highway. The schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 8am5pm and Tuesdays: 8am8pm. The clinician is expected to work 40 hours/week and possibly cover call treating Adults and Kids. The EMR is AVATAR. Credentialing takes 2-4 weeks to clear and training is provided for EMR. Dates Needed: May - Ongoing Call Ratio/Schedule: TBD Case Load/PPD: 15-25 Shift Type: Day Shift; Call Assignment Type: Inpatient Assignment Duration: Locums Shift Hours: Full time (40 hours) Med Checks/Follow-up per day (OP Only): 30-45 mins Initial Evaluation Time: 60-90 mins Call Required: Negotiable Board Certification Required: Yes Patient Population: All Ages Support Staff: psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, registered nurses, and case managers Government: No
