Physician / Hospitalist / Tennessee / Locum or Permanent / Pediatric Hospitalist Job

• Schedule: 24hr Shifts - 7am-7am - Rounding 7a-4pm, call from hotel or home 4p-7a
• Available for up to 10-15 shifts monthly 
• Providers must be flexible, looking for providers who can work a week at a time. Can do back to back shifts. 
• Sometimes physicians will tie off an extra digital (nursery) and perform periodic lumbar punctures in the Nursery or Peds Floor. No circumcisions. Physicians do not attend births. 
• Multidisciplinary rounds, see patients in Nursery & Peds Floor, some procedures required
• NICU & Newborn Nursey Size: 40+ (only cover 14)
• Average Patient Age: Peds Floor (35+ weeks for newborn)
• Average Daily Census: Nursey 6-8, Peds 6-8 with outliers
• Average number of admissions per night: given night shift – may see 4-5 new babies and 1-2 PED
• How many times do they typically get called at night? Variable – depends on acuity of patients on the floor. Physicians do get calls – yet this ranges extensively. There have been times when no calls have come in for 5 hours and other nights where it was much more frequent. Middle of summer is lighter than the other seasons, such as winter.
• 1 physician on at a time, must be ok to work alone
• Requirements: BC Pediatrics with Hospitalist experience preferred, BLS, NRP, PALS required. Must have Active TN License or eligible to obtain a compact license.
• Average credentialing time- 60-90 days

• $500 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
