Call responsibilities at local medical center (with options) Requirements Full-time, general surgeon – board certified/eligible. Reason for Recruitment Community need; replacement for physician who relocated. Practice Details This practice is part of a Physicians Group. Other Physicians in Practice Physician will be one of three general surgeons in Clare. Office Procedures All aspects of general surgery, basic “bread and butter” surgical procedures and scopes. •Relocation allowance Schedule Traditional office hours: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Physician workweek: 4½ days Call Schedule 1:3 with providers in Clare Community Served Clare Michigan and Gladwin Michigan are outdoor, family-oriented communities within 30 minutes of one another, centrally located in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. Eighty miles from Lansing, 16 miles from Mt. Pleasant and 35 miles from Midland. The communities offer small town life close to big city amenities. Nearby cultural facilities, including Midland’s Center for the Arts and Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, and local social and recreational facilities offer a friendly quality of life-style. Three local colleges offer post-secondary education with three universities within commuting distance. The mid-Michigan region enjoys all four seasons and nearby recreational facilities. Public and State lands, as well as private, offer hunters a variety of opportunities. Three winter skiing areas are within a 10-minute drive of Clare for downhill or cross-country skiing. More than 30 lakes and 330 miles of rivers make mid-Michigan the epicenter of some of the best fishing, canoeing and boating in the state.
