Emergency Department is seeking to hire a new Emergency Medicine physician. Join our hospital employed group and enjoy working with a supportive team of experienced providers and staff. This is a rare opportunity to join a committed and seasoned team with little physician turnover. The Emergency Department has 10-12 beds with just over 15,000 visits annually. We have an admission/transfer rate of 12% and enjoy in-house support from subspecialties including OB, Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Urology, and non-invasive Cardiology. We admit patients over the age of 18 to a hospitalist service and we have a rehab/nursing home facility on campus. Physicians currently work single coverage with 12 hours of mid-level support during the busier times of the day. Radiology services include 24/7 CT, on-call ultrasound availability and daylight/weekday hours for MRI. We are located 35 miles south of UVM Medical Center and have seamless EMS protocols in place for rapid transfer of our sickest patients.
