Description
As an OB/GYN and officer on the U.S. Army Reserve health care team, you’ll have the opportunity to provide women with the best care during pregnancy, leading to delivery. You’ll have access to advanced technology and resources as you ensure that our Soldiers and their families receive the best care. When you practice in your community and serve when needed, you have the opportunity to enhance your career while making a difference.
Benefits include:
– Health Professions Special Pay of $75,000 for eligible specialties, paid in three yearly increments of $25,000
– Health Professionals Loan Repayment of up to $250,000 (maximum of $40,000 per year) may be applied toward qualified school loans

Requirements include:
– Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
– Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
– Eligibility for board certification
– Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
– Completion of a training program in Obstetrics/Gynecology
– Between 21 and 42 years of age
– Permanent U.S. residency
