Multispecialty group in Southeast, MA seeking to ass Hospitaliy to their established team.
Both hospitals have Emergency Rooms and ICU’s, but Intensivists manage the complex ICU patients. ICU admissions by the Hospitalists are rare, with no invasive procedures or intubations. There is no major trauma, and the Boston hospitals are resources for tertiary care.
The full-time position involves only hospital work, with no clinic responsibilities. Hospitalists generally work 7-on and 7-off, generally alternating between the two hospitals. There is a 12-hour day shift and a "swing" shift mainly for admissions. There is a separate dedicated Nocturnist schedule for those with intubation and central line skills. For those Hospitalists interested in remaining productive during your weeks off, opportunities may exist for additional day or night shifts. Significant emphasis is placed on patient satisfaction, teamwork, and efficient care.
Salary is competitive, based on training and experience. Malpractice, health insurance, and CME are covered and a 401K is available.
We participate in all major national and regional healthcare quality initiatives. We use an app- and web-based charge-capture and billing system for our Hospitalists (IngeniousMed) in order to maximize efficiency. One hospital uses Meditech and the other uses Epic, both requiring Computer Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and real-time creation of notes. They use eClinicalworks in the out-patient setting.
