Currently, we are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist program in Globe, AZ.This is an employed position and in this role, you will be responsible for coverage of all observation beds, overflow coverage from acute inpatient service, admissions from the ED, discharges, daily rounding and daily coordination with physician on patient management. The schedule will be 7on/7off coverage split between two regular providers. The shifts will be 8 hour days with phone coverage. Provider will be required to stay in town while on shift, with the long-term goal of relocation to Globe, AZ/vicinity. Required Qualifications: Active and Unrestricted Licensure in the state of AZ BLS, ACLS, DEA upon hire Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited physician assistant (PA) program Nationally certified through the National Commission on Certification Physician Assistant (NCCPA) Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated leadership ability Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting Two to five years of clinical experience preferred Primary care, acute care, and/or surgical experience preferred Strong computer skills in an Electronic Medical Record preferred Previous Hospitalist experience preferred
