Vassar Brothers Medical Center, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, just 75 minutes north of New York City, is seeking a second Thoracic Surgical Oncologist to join Cliff Connery, MD, a highly experienced program builder, to further develop a rapidly expanding and comprehensive Thoracic oncology program serving the Hudson Valley region and beyond. Our team includes disease specific medical oncologists, experienced radiation oncologists, outstanding consultative services, compassionate nursing care and all the supportive services of a comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Program has all the tools and technologies in place, including robotic technology, navigation bronchoscopy, hyperthermic perfused intrathoracic chemotherapy as well as other resources. A robust clinical research program is active in Oncology with access to both cooperative group trials, industry and in-house trials with proper research associate support and database participation.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with well-developed minimally invasive Thoracic surgical and interventional pulmonary skills. Familiarity with robotics is advantageous. Our three hospital system has an integrated and extensive primary care network, urgent care centers, and voluntary staff that provide unlimited potential for growth for an energetic, focused, board-certified or board eligible candidate. It is expected that this individual will help develop a specialized area of interest in Thoracic diseases to serve our region and beyond.

•Vassar will be building a new 696,000-square-foot, seven-level inpatient pavilion with 264 private medical/surgical patient rooms and 30 critical care rooms over the next 3 years
