Description
Lead Hospitalist - Southern OR.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Hospitalist and also administrative experience.
- As the lead hospitalist, you will lead a group of about 12 physicians and 2 mid-level providers. Our hospitalist physicians typically see between 10 and 15 patients a day. Four physicians work a 12-hour shift, one physician covers an additional 8-hour admission shift, and one physician covers a 12-hour night shift.
- You’ll spend about three quarters of your time on clinical work; the rest is protected for administrative duties.
- You’ll work closely with other physician leaders and leaders from nursing, operations, and case management to meet high quality standards for patient safety, outcomes, throughput, and utilization.
- You will report directly to the Vice President of Medical Affairs.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- $160 / Hour for Lead Administrative Work not to exceed $100,000 annual
- Competitive base compensation of $1,474 per shift for Hospitalist - Minimum of 140 shifts for full-time

Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school. Successful completion of training in an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
License / Certification: MD or DO licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified from American Heart Association; Board Certified / Eligible in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties; Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges; Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital’s programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
