Southern Illinois University School of Medicine/Department of Otolaryngology is seeking an Otolaryngologist to serve as an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Otolaryngology. The newly established Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery was created by the Illinois Department of Higher Education in June 2019. The department is committed to the mission of the School of Medicine and is expanding its services to assist the people of Decatur Illinois. Under the new leadership of the inaugural Chairman, Dr. Brendan Stack, the department looks to expand the School of Medicine’s already stellar reputation and build its new relationship with newly acquired Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Located in the heart of Central Illinois, Decatur Memorial Hospital is a licensed and fully accredited 300-bed facility that offers a wide range of general and specialized diagnostic, surgical and treatment services. DMH encompasses 12 state-of-the-art Centers of Excellence which focus on proven quality healthcare and offers a full range of comprehensive acute inpatient, surgical, and outpatient care. With more than 300 physicians representing a large variety of medical and surgical professions, DMH’s care extends throughout Macon County and into neighboring counties.

Qualifications:
Must have an MD or DO degree and be board eligible/board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Subspecialty interests desirable but not required. Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Illinois.
