The major criteria for appointment for faculty shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine and institutional service- appropriate to the programmatic need the individuals are expected to fulfil. The candidates must be board eligible/certified in General Surgery and be fellowship trained in bariatric and/or minimally invasive surgery. Potential candidates will be able to perform complex bariatric and/or minimally invasive procedures. Candidates should have an outstanding academic record in research, clinical care and education. The Candidate should have experience administratively, with excellent interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary communication, with exceptional leadership talent. Strong skills in program planning, development and quality assurance, educational and operational issues are essential.
