Client needs a Locums or Locums to Perm Vascular Surgeon to cover ASAP for intermittent coverage!
Operating Room/Vascular Lab: Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center – Mishawaka - 5215 Holy Cross Pkwy, Mishawaka, IN 46545
Details: Start: ASAP - ongoing. Monday-Monday, 7:30a-7:30aOne week per month; 1-2 clinic days, 1-2 OR days, 24/7 callOutpatient clinic/Vascular Lab, Hospital-BasedOffice coverage: 1-2 days per week for acute/urgent vascular surgery patientsOperating Room coverage: unscheduled acute and call during nightEmergency Service Call - day and night, 24/7EMR Hospital: Cerner/PowerChartEMR SJMG Clinics: NextGen*Both transition to Epic beginning Oct 2021Adult/Geriatric patient populationAverage # of patients per day: urgent/emergent cases only - varies based on need.Support staff: 1 RNDay to day responsibilities include robust work in all types of open vascular surgery, PAD and catheter-directed interventions. The chosen candidate will work alongside our current surgeon and interventional radiologists growing Interventional Oncology (radioembolization, chemoembolization and ablations), AAA, UFE, vertebral augmentation, central venous access including ports, IVC filters, central venous stenting/reconstruction, biliary/GI/GU interventions, some dialysis access maintenance, occasional TIPS, and the usual non-vascular drainage procedures and biopsies. The hospital provides a PICC team.XRC Vascular Surgery & Interventional section currently includes one vascular surgeon and four interventional radiologists, a clinical nurse for inpatient rounding/management and consults, and dedicated scheduling resources for hospital surgeries/procedures. XRC is seeking to expand its vascular surgery practice to meet increasing demand. Call would be 1:2 covering one hospital.
