Medcare Staffing is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians for the VA facility in Ohio. Since this is government opportunity, ANY state license is accepted.
This is an ongoing locum tenens opportunity.

Q2 What is the average daily volume? Annual volume?
A2 1st quarter FY 2022 67.7/Day; Annually - 25,584/ patients Q3 What are the peak days/hours in the ED?
A3 Mondays, Tuesdays & Days following holidays; 0900-1700 Q4 How many physicians staff the ED? Mid-levels?
A4 Nine full-time MD/DO’s each working 40 hours/ week; two part-time MD/DO’s each working 20 hours/ week; four Mid-levels; and two NP’s and two PA’s each working 40 hours/week. Q5 Are shifts 8, 10 or 12 hours? How many physicians per shift?
A5 Shifts are 10, 12, 12.5, 13, 14 hours depending on need.
Q8 Can we get a count of how many ED Beds there are at the hospital?
A8 18 ED and 4 Fast-track
Q15 How far in advance is the schedule requested? 60 days? 90 days?
A15 90 days Q16 Is there APP support? (# on, hours of their shifts)
A16 2-3. 0800-1630; 0930-2000 (Fast-track weekdays); 1130-2200 Q17 What Specialty backup is available?
A17 Depends on time of day. 0700-1600 usually all. After 1600, IM/Hospitalist, Ortho, Neuro. Q18 Does the hospital have 24 hour Radiology/Pharmacy/Lab? If no, what are the hours?
A18 24-hour Radiology, Pharmacy, and Lab. MRI available M-F day tours. Currently CT is a call-in (1 hr.). Q19 Who Admits? (ER or Hospitalist, MOD)
A19 Hospitalist; sometimes we need to write orders for Psych Admissions.

The Contractor shall provide physicians - Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (strongly preferred), Internal Medicine, or Family Practice. Physicians not Board Certified in Emergency Medicine must have at least five (5) years of Emergency Department experience. The primary goal is for a Contractor to provide onsite emergency department physician services, to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the CVAMC
