Houlton, Maine: We offer an excellent situation for a skilled OB/GYN. Join an award-winning 25-bed medical center serving 18,000 residents of Aroostook County in northeastern Maine. This is a Top Rural Hospital, designated by the Leapfrog Group, and the largest employer in the area, with a staff of over 400.

You will have a convenient 4 day/week schedule practicing alongside a well-established peer in a practice that offers an interesting mix of women’s health services. You can provide high-quality, in-depth care due to the moderate patient volume (average 16 patients/day outpatient, and one OR day/week). Engage all your skills as you handle routine check-ups and well visits, provide family planning (IUD, Nexplanon, etc.), manage obstetrics, offer surgical solutions, and more.

Your outpatient suite is right on the hospital campus for easy access to hospital resources. This independent critical access hospital provides very well-equipped and staffed operating theaters. The practice sees about 130 deliveries annually, giving each doctor an average of fewer than 6 births/month. The birth center provides expert care for patients in a personalized, family-centered atmosphere with spacious, well-equipped private rooms, a whirlpool tub available for labor, rooming-in of newborn babies if desired, and even flexible mealtime/room service.

Call is shared every-other-week with your partner physician, with additional coverage provided to maintain 1:2 call when one of you is away. Become part of a community where patients respect and appreciate their healthcare providers, and where you will make a real difference.

You will be employed by the hospital and earn a very competitive salary plus benefits including a cash signing bonus, paid relocation assistance, paid liability insurance, and health, dental, vision and life insurance.
