Description
VISTA is working with a Hawaii client with primary care needs in a very rural village on the island of Maui.
Location: Hana, HI
Training: BC/BE
Duration: 3-6 month locum opportunity
Board requirement: BC/BE
Schedule: 10 days monthly typical schedule Thur-Sat. clinic plus call
Clinic hours: 8a-5p plus call
Shifts: clinic plus call usually 3 days in a row
Procedures: Mostly cuts, bone brakes, cough and colds. LT needs to be prepared for anything that could come in - chest pain, lacerations, broken bones, etc.
Case types: Mostly tourist injuries
Cases per day: 14
Type of facility: Rural community clinic
EMR: Athena
Credentialing: 30 days
License requirement: HI
