-ASAP - for 6 months -NP must be certified in Critical Care with recent/current experience covering ICU -Shift needed are 7P - 7A -4-6 patient encounters, 2-4 night admissions -NP will round in the ICU as needed; the day intensivists usually tuck them in before ending the day shift -Procedures are required to do procedures (lines & intubations) as well as manage vents and respond to all trauma codes -EMR system = Meditech -Hospital has 720 beds, but only 3rd, 5th and 8th floors are being utilized -24 ICU Beds, but not always full and some are seen by HM physician -HNI Intensivists onsite daily from 7A-7P; EICU available 7P-7A
