Description
A health center in New York City is actively seeking a compassionate and patient-oriented HIV Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their staff. In this role, the HIV Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases.
Responsibilities
The HIV Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will:
- Educate on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits
- Practice medicine using sound medical judgment and adhere to all ethical considerations of the practice of medicine
- Meet all clinical obligations of the medical practice
- Conduct exams
- Perform diagnostic test and screening evaluations
- Manage overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues
- Follow all internal policies and procedures
- Advise administration of any issues that may impact the practice
Qualifications
- Active New York State Family Nurse Practitioner license and DEA registration
- 2+ years of previous community health center experience
- HIV Certification
- Patient-oriented
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized
- Strong interpersonal skills
