Description
A California-based healthcare network is currently seeking a new, licensed Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Physician Assistant (PA) for a promising position with their Urgent Care team at one of their facilities in Walnut Creek.
Responsibilities:
The Urgent Care ANP / FNP / PA will be responsible for:
- Manage patients' acute care concerns, including: STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening and stabilization, etc.
- Maintain evidence-based and current knowledge as it relates to urgent care practice and procedures
- Handle the initial management of acute changes in chronic conditions
- Document physical exam, procedures and in-office medications/prescriptions
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in an Urgent Care role/setting
- Bachelor's and Master's Degree
- CA licensed Adult Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and Physician Assistant (PA)
- ACLS certification
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
