Description
A New York City nonprofit organization is looking to add a new, licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to their team in Manhattan. In this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will be responsible for providing routine psychiatric evaluations on participants, as requested.
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will:
- Provide emergency consultation and assessment, as needed
- Provide documentation necessary to promote health, well-being and independence of residents, when needed
- Oversee management of psychotropic medication of children in foster care
- Participate in Treatment Team Conferences, Family Team Conferences and other meetings to address assessment, treatment planning and discharge/re-entry planning needs of the young people and families as needed
- Provide timely paperwork in compliance with ACS, OCFS and COA requirements
- Effectively use and practice the Sanctuary Model tools
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- NYS Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
- NYS Board Certification
- Experience working with children, adolescents and families
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience with at-risk youth and families
- Child Welfare experience
