Description
A healthcare organization in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for providing diagnostic interviews, medication management, and therapy to patients as well as consultation to Physicians and staff members.
Responsibilities:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) will:
- Complete structured clinical interview with all new patients
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including medication, medication review and therapy
- Document all patient care in electronic medical record
- Participate in CQI projects
- Provide consultation to primary care providers
- Handle other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience working with Psychiatric and/or Mental Health population
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in a related field
- NJ Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) license
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
