Farmington, Maine: We invite a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join a first-rate hospital-employed Emergency Department staff in a progressive, award-winning 48-bed acute care community hospital that provides a wide range of services for more than 40,000 area residents. The hiring hospital is part of Maine’s largest healthcare system, providing security, and outstanding collegial relationships, with specialty/primary care referrals readily available.

Practice in an outstanding 10-bed ED that was designed for excellent patient and provider flow, and overall safety. Enjoy a dynamic practice and help manage an interesting, complex and exciting case mix averaging 45 patients/day (always with double-coverage) and see everything from the flu to fractures to ski accidents and more. Additional consults/admissions are handled by the Hospitalist team. Teaching opportunities are available when medical students and residents from Portland and Boston rotate to the hospital.

Enjoy a comfortable schedule averaging 12 shifts/month with a mix of days (7a-7p), swing (10a-8p) and nights (7p-7a). Primary care doctors with significant ER experience are encouraged to apply.
