Job Description

Academic Radiologist ' Thoracic/Chest

The University of Missouri's School of Medicine,[Apply Here], chaired by Dr. Talissa Altes, is expanding and searching for a full-time Thoracic Radiologist to join our growing radiology practice. This is an excellent career opportunity for candidates just starting their careers, as well as experienced candidates to join a thriving academic radiology department.

About MU Radiology:

Faculty in our Thoracic division have responsibilities in cardiopulmonary radiology, including conventional radiographs with a full complement of advanced imaging, including CT and MRI. Involvement in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences is expected. Our Thoracic radiologists enjoy very collaborative relationships with referring providers and participate in multidisciplinary conferences.

Responsibilities are:
~80% clinical
~10% Teaching/education
~10% Administration
Chest Call ' Q6
Equipment is state-of-the-art and includes 2- 3T Siemens MRI scanners and 3 - 1.5T Siemens MRI scanners. 1.5 and 3T GE MRI Scanners. Additional 3T and 7T Siemens MRI scanners are opening in October 2021 at our new NextGen Precision Health imaging facility.
We offer opportunities to assist in the department's growth, the education of medical students, and diagnostic radiology residents and fellows across eight radiology fellowship programs,including a Cardiothoracic fellowship, as well as research and scholarly activities.

Qualifications:

MD/DO, Board-certified or board-eligible in radiology and fellowship-trained in thoracic radiology. For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board-eligible physicians are considered experienced.
