Augusta, Maine: We invite a skilled OB/GYN to join a respected Women’s Health practice in Maine’s newest hospital – a 190-bed regional hospital in the state capital city, just 50 minutes from Portland.

New residency graduates through senior physicians, all are encouraged to apply. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer. This physician-led medical center is the Kennebec Valley's largest private employer and Maine’s third largest healthcare system, serving over 65,000 area residents. They are committed to positively impact the health of their community through services and involvement.

This medical center is listed by Newsweek as one of the World’s Best Hospitals (2022). Blue Cross/Blue Shield awarded their “Blue Distinction Specialty Care” designation for Maternity Care, recognizing quality of care and expertise in delivering maternity care. Leapfrog gives the hospital an “A” Safety Grade (2022). Additionally, the hospital hosts an unopposed Family Medicine Residency Program (affiliated with Dartmouth) along with fellowship programs and rotating medical students, so teaching options are available.

Join a collegial group of 4 Physicians and 5 Midwives, along with a tremendous support team, in a state-of-the-art environment with all the tools for obstetric care including routine pregnancies and high-risk conditions. Your full spectrum practice will include a good mix of routine women's health and gynecology care, including in-office procedures. You will partner with Pediatric specialists and a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit staffed 24/7 by an experienced team of Pediatric Hospitalists. You will have a convenient 4 day/week schedule with call shared 1:5 weekdays, and just 1:8 weekends.

You will be employed by the hospital and earn a competitive salary based on experience plus productivity bonuses. Benefits include relocation assistance, a generous amount of earned time off for vacations, paid holidays, parental leave, insurance (liability with tail, medical, dental, life, and disability), paid leave plus a budget for your CME, a choice of retirement plans with employer matching, and more. Generous, multiyear medical education loan repayment is also available.
