Caribou, Maine: We invite a friendly, skilled OB/GYN to join the medical staff of an award-winning, community-owned 65-bed medical center where over 500 employees serve 35,000 residents around northeastern Maine. Join a terrific team with 2 OB/GYNs and 2 CNMs providing compassionate, high-quality care to patients from multiple communities in the award-winning Women’s and Children’s Health Center (the most comprehensive Pediatric and OB/GYN program in Northern Maine). Located within the medical center, this is just a short walk from the labor/delivery/postpartum unit. You will see your patients in a welcoming setting – a beautifully appointed suite with an excellent clinical and administrative support team using Epic EMR. You will have an interesting, well-rounded practice with a good mix of obstetrics and gynecology.

The employer is a hospital-affiliated FQHC (federally qualified health center) certified as a Patient-Centered Medical Home. They use a coordinated team-based approach that enables patients to take an active role in their health status and decision making. The team emphasizes access, health information technology, and focused patient care, working to deliver seamless health and wellness services to all. You will have a convenient schedule with call supported by a telephone triage system that screens after-hours calls to improve YOUR quality of life.

This practice is the leader for deliveries north of Bangor – managing more than 200 births annually in a practice with a well-earned reputation as the warmest, friendliest and most desirable place around to deliver babies. C-sections are pediatrician attended. The Maternal/Child Unit was completely updated in 2022. This organization is rated as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Experience. High-risk mothers and neonates are referred to the large tertiary medical center in Bangor.
