Description
Well-established group with multiple locations in Charleston, SC seeking a Pharmacy Program Manager to join their team. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team within the community clinic. The position is full time and permanent, offering great benefits, PTO, sick time, vacation time and more. As the Pharmacy Program Manager, you can expect to participate in the budget process for the pharmacy, assess staffing needs and develop the group’s pharmacy plan based on community needs. The ideal candidate would articulate organizational vision and the ability to implement organizational strategic initiatives. You should exercise sound judgment, tact and diplomacy, effectively delegate work, set expectations and monitor activities.

Additional essential responsibilities include:
Reviewing prescriptions issued by Physicians and/or other authorized prescribers to assure accuracy.
Address physician issues, formulary control, drug education and provide oversight of pharmacy quality assurance.
Prepare and recommend qualifications, job descriptions and evaluation of standards for pharmacy employees and ensure the qualifications are maintained.
Provide oversight of the Patient Assistance Program.
Provide oversight of all refill requests.
Manage special pharmacy programs as directed by CMO.
Monitor and negotiate all purchasing contracts with vendors and insurance payers.
Provide oversight to pharmacy workers who are engaged in mixing, packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals.

Supervisory responsibilities may include:
Work continually to ensure deliverance of quality clinical care are in a safe, efficient, competent and effective manner.
Provide direction to all Pharmacy staff to ensure development and productive performance.
Coordinate with clinical and admin departments to ensure the pharmacy is running efficiently and correctly.
Interview and hire all pharmacy staff with input from CMO and HR.

Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy preferred (PharmD)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of 5 years of administrative, management and/or supervisory experience.
Certified as a Pharmacist by the Drug Enforcement Agency in the State of SC and Possession of current licensure by South Carolina State Board of Pharmacy.
Community Health experience preferred
