This group has impressive academic affiliations, so teaching opportunities are available. Newport offers a community-based feel, offering services on the hospital campus and in a satellite office 8 miles away. The hospital site is freshly renovated with state-of-the art features and a design that provides a soothing, spa-like environment enjoyed by patients and staff alike.

In addition to managing pregnancies (including high risk pregnancies, in consultation with physicians) you will provide well-woman gynecological care throughout the reproductive lifespan, manage contraception counseling and prescription, insert/remove IUDs, etc. This full service women’s health center has convenient access to lab, imaging, and ultrasound services. Maternal Fetal Medicine services are available 24/7.

Enjoy a convenient schedule with 32 clinical hours/week, plus an admin day. The team manages about 450 deliveries per year. This nonprofit is designated Baby-Friendly and prioritizes quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. The hospital is recognized for promoting and supporting breastfeeding. Patient education also includes prenatal classes, parenting and health education, and lactation consultant services. Midwives here offer support and advice following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality and more. You will be a liaison with outside agencies and other health and social care professionals to ensure continuity of care for your patients.
