NP or PA Locum Need for CICU/Stepdown care Start 4/24/23 or upon credentialing for 13 weeks The position is for a NP or PA, Heart & Vascular Dept; treating patients immediately post op. Flex 6a-630p; 3 (12) shifts with every 3rd weekend rotation obligation. *While unlikely, the department reserves the right to rotate the provider to nights (6p-6:30a) if needed.
Job Description: NP/PA will treat post-op patients and move back and forth between CICU and Stepdown. Typical ratio – 2:1, Adult Rounding duties – Yes Pre & post operative duties – Yes EMR – EPIC No call *Treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area under the direction of the licensed physician. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.
Requirements: - Experience 1 Year experience in a clinical specialty practice (Required)
- 2 Years’ experience
- BC required
- Active PA license req'd
- Prescriptive Authority preferred (DEA)
- BLS through AHA req'd
- Covid vaccination req'd - declinations not accepted
