SPECIALTY: PA Neurosurgery TYPE: Locum Tenens - 1099 contract LOCATION: Clearwater, FL JOB NUMBER: 46189 DESCRIPTION: Need: PA Neurosurgery When: June 1 - Aug 31 Setting: Outpatient/inpatient with scheduled hours and call Patients per shift: 10 Beds: 16 Staff: 1 RN, 1 MA, 4 APP's, 3 office staff Call: 15-min response time, 0-25 consults, 10 patients seen, Call ratio 1:4, call back % 25 Immediate need for an experienced Neurosurgery PA to work with a well-established neurosurgery practice with 4 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers serving adult patients only. This position is 50% inpatient rounding and 50% outpatient clinic. Call is rotated among the PA's with 1-2 PA's sharing call Monday - Thursday with support from the physician who is on call. Weekend call responsibility is 1:4 with 1 PA and 1 physician and is less than 25% in person. Morton Plant Hospital is a 600+ bed facility with a comprehensive certified stroke center and is not a trauma center.
