Medical Oncologist

Job Duties: Provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of care for cancer patients and assures continuity of care for those patients while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans. Participates in tumor boards, quality improvement projects, practice initiatives, and other activities associated with accreditations. Completes documentation accurately and promptly and is knowledgeable about clinical research and trials and genetic counselling. Rotating call.

POSITION SPECIFICATION

Education: Medical degree or foreign equivalent in Medicine or related field.

Training: Completion of a 3-year Internal Residency Program and a 3-year Hematology and Oncology Fellowship program required (72 months total training).

Licensing: Eligible for a State of Iowa and State of Illinois medical license.

Specific skills or other requirements: Willingness to travel minimally between multiple worksites in Davenport, IA and Silvis, IL.
