Academic Radiology opportunity with UC Davis! Seeking Chest/Cardiothoracic and Abdominal/Body Radiologists Hybrid Remote in Beautiful Sacramento! o Average guaranteed compensation of $400,000 o Call pay of $40K o Bi-annual bonuses of 20-30K o Up to 10K in relocation o Up to three days a week work from home flexibility! o 48 days of PTO accrued per year!
Volume depends varies each day and it depends on which list you are assigned to for the day. Lists are rotated equally among the providers each day and scheduled so that there is ample space in between. Volume averages – List 1) 10-15 cardiac per day. List 2) 25-28 chest CT. List 3) 150 chest xray/day. The residents are some of the best in the country. Resident reads are draft to final and may be up to 50% of volume of the total reads.
UC Davis is very focused on lifestyle. The Chair does not micromanage division chiefs and 40% of the physician’s week can be reading from home (up to 3 days at home in some instances). VRad tele-rad service covers 4pm to midnight on weeknights doing final reads. After midnight the residents read prelims.
Call is 8 weekends, Sat and/or Sun – 8am to 5pm, but the frequency will decrease with additional hires. The volume is manageable and is mostly chest xrays from the ED/inpatient, no outpatient reads on call.
