Description
A healthcare network in New York City is looking to add a new, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to their team in Queens. Managing a panel of patients, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for diagnosing and treating health conditions while promoting and teaching good health practices.
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Experience in an Acute Care, Chronic Care, and/or Primary Care role/setting
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
