A mental health agency located in New York City is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their staff.

Responsibilities
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:
Provide psychiatric evaluations for clients as a requirement of the client’s housing applications
Provide health assessments, as needed, consistent with education and training
Perform medication evaluations, education, prescription and monitoring as needed
Assist the program with medication monitoring
Order and follow-up on laboratory tests and procedures related to practice
Collaborate with the clinical team to prepare and update client treatment plans
Document services provided in medical/case records which includes requirements to document in both AWARDS and CARES electronic case records
Participate in supervision with the Program Director
Maintain training in First Aid, Crisis De-escalation, and overdose prevention
Qualifications
Board Certification in Psychiatry
Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license
2+ years of experience
Strong medical skills and experience
Ability to multitask
Excellent communication skills
Desired skills
Bilingual, English and Spanish
