Description
Neurohospitalist needed for telehealth coverage in MA, VA, SC, CO, WY, NM, UT, MT, AZ
• Recommended Experience:
o Minimum of two years’ experience practicing as an Adult Neurohospitalist
o Will also accept consider candidates that have two years Neurocritical care experience. This allows time for providers to gain experience as a practicing Neurology to be able to successfully practice virtually.
o Candidates must be trained and willing to cover acute stroke
• Employment Options:
o Full time W2
• Shift Details:
o Shift Schedule: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
o Minimum Commitment: 7 shifts/month (days, nights, and weekends)
o Holiday coverage:
? Shared rotation within practice
o Will cover multiple facilities at a time, all dependent on volume.
o Our physicians practice in a true Neurohospitalist model, where they can manage acute cases in the ED, offer continuity of care for their condition in the ICU or floor, and follow the patients until consultation is no longer required. They can also provide EEG interpretation, APP supervision for employed Neurology APPs, and outpatient tele neurology clinic coverage, depending on the program.
• Projected Volumes:
o Average Volumes: 10-12 acute consults per shift.
o Paneled to average 1 acute consult/hour.
o Can do 2 follow-ups an hour or hand off the follow-ups to the next team member.
• Procedures/Skills:
o Stroke/tPA (mostly stroke)
o General Neurology
o EEG reads (30-minute, 60-minute, and 24 hour reads
o May be some outpatient visits
o coverage will be tailored to skillset
