Longivew/Tyler Area ED Seeks 5 EM Physicians

7a-7p, 7p-7a 12 & 24 hour shifts available

7 Shift per month minimum

3 ED Physicians needed

BC/BE EM, FP/IM

Position Profile:

• 12,000 Annual volume
• 11 beds
• 2 hour drive from Dallas
• 24 hours of physician coverage daily
• Critical Access hospital
• Daily census: 31
• 25 Beds in the hospital
• Hospitalist in house
• 24 hours of lab services
• 20% admission rate
• Older population/higher acuity
• Level III stoke support facility designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services
• Physicians and nurses with advanced trauma life support training, so patients can receive immediate and appropriate care
• Diagnostic services featuring x-ray, ultrasound, CT with iDose radiation reduction and other imaging modalities when needed
• Laboratory services on-site
• Private treatment rooms
• The ability to monitor and stabilize heart attack and stroke patients
• Transfer to Level 1 trauma center, if higher level of care is needed.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Specialty Required: EM, IM & FM
• Preferred availability 7 shifts per month, will accept 5
• Qualified candidates must be BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) or Internal Medicine/ Family Practice (ABIM/ABFM) with Emergency Department experience.
• ACLS/PALS required for EM Board Certified clinicians, PLUS previous ATLS
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS required if NOT EM Board Certified (EM BE or BC FP/IM)
