Coverage Need Details:

• Estimated Shifts/Month: 20
• EMR / Charting: EPIC

Provider's Typical Day: As a Neuro-Epilepsy Physician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Seeing 8-12 patients a day, focusing on Neuro-Epilepsy cases.
• Reviewing EMU's (Epilepsy Monitoring Units) and collaborating closely with the Neurological support team.
• Ideally, having the ability to read cEEGs (continuous Electroencephalograms) and LTEEGs (long-term Electroencephalograms).
• Staffing the EMU and supporting the functional neurosurgery program, including tasks such as brain mapping.
• Meeting residency training requirements.
• Gaining experience or showcasing a willingness to learn the indications and management of VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation), RNS (Responsive Neurostimulation), and DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) for epilepsy.
• Having experience with perioperative stereo-electroencephalogram (SEEG) analysis is ideal.
• Collaborating with a team of 3 APPs (Advanced Practice Providers) and a dedicated neurological support team to evaluate patients for epilepsy surgery.
• Contributing to the growth of the practice by focusing on complex epilepsy cases.
