Physician / Hospitalist / Minnesota / Locum or Permanent / Hospitalist opening in Duluth, MN - research, teaching Job

We are seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist to join our practice.

• Hospitalist program over 20 years old with 38 physicians and 10 NP/PAs.
• Open ICU
• Hospitalists cover 2 facilities which are located on the same campus and connected via an indoor skywalk system. Provision of secondary and tertiary care services to patients from a wide region including northern Wisconsin and north central and eastern Minnesota
• The other hospital is an attached 140 bed multispecialty hospital with acute dialysis, medical-surgical, psychiatry, and outpatient surgery units
• Provide 24-hour onsite coverage with the assistance of a nocturnist program
• ICU coverage is primarily non-intubated patients. Critical Care physicians cover most intubated patients
• 14-16 patients per day (includes admission, consults, rounding and discharge) with assistance of credentialed practitioners in team-based collaborative model
• Satisfying balance of attending and consultative responsibilities covering multiple specialties
• Opportunities to participate in hospital-based research, quality, and clinical initiatives
• Teaching service providing internal medicine rotations for 10 Family Medicine residents
• Friendly, collegial environment with 12-day teams of hospitalists and credentialed practitioners, two-day admitters, two evening admitters, and a dedicated nocturnist team of two physicians and one credentialed practitioner
• Epic Electronic Medical Record utilized throughout the entire healthcare system
• 7-day on, 7 days off schedule throughout the year; 182 shifts is considered full-time. Flexible schedule options if desired

Requirements:

• Physician who is BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Family Practice with strong interest and experience in hospital-based care
