Physician / Anesthesiology / New York / Permanent / J1/H1b: UPSTATE NEW YORK – ANESTHESIOLOGIST invited to join academic medical center on Lake Champlain near Burlington Vermont Job

You are invited to join a friendly team of full time and part time Anesthesiologists (over 9 FTE equivalent) and 2 CRNAs managing a broad range of procedures with cases averaging 19,000 per year. Supported specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, urology, thoracic, vascular, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, dental, ophthalmology and obstetrics/gynecology. This medical center sees around 850 babies delivered annually, with a c-section rate of around 33%.

This is a collaborative group practicing in a state-of-the-art complex that includes a 14-bed critical care unit and 9 spacious, well-equipped ORs plus an ambulatory surgery center with 4 ORs and 4 Endoscopy suites. You will have access to the latest technology in this Level III trauma center. They are affiliated with the University of Vermont (a Level I trauma center 1 hour to the east). You may rotate occasionally to a 76-bed affiliate hospital located 1 hour to the west to help support 4 operating rooms and a GI endoscopy suite where cases could include GI endoscopies, general surgery, podiatry and orthopedics.
