Plattsburgh, NY: We seek a skilled GASTROENTEROLOGIST to join a progressive 300-bed community hospital on a plush 45-acre campus, complete with ponds and walking paths. Come to this welcoming community on scenic Lake Champlain, across from Burlington, Vermont, where compassionate healthcare providers take great pride in caring for their friends and neighbors. This medical center has over 160 physicians serving 170,000 area residents. Healthgrades lists them as a Top 100 Hospital for Cardiac Care. In addition to hosting a Family Medicine Residency, Emergency Medicine residents and medical students complete clinical rotations here.

You are invited to join a peer Gastroenterologist in a broad scope hospital-based practice. You will have a 60/40 mix as GI Hospitalist/inpatient consultant and clinic-based specialist. ERCP and EUS are optional. The Endoscopy teams here were recently recognized by the American Society of Gastroenterology Endoscopy for a demonstrated commitment to specialized training, adherence to guidelines on privileging, quality assurance and reprocessing, and infection control guidelines.

Call is shared 1:5 by a collegial team that includes 3 more GIs who are in private practice. Practice in a collaborative environment with state-of-the-art tools and facilities. This is a Level III trauma center affiliated with the University of Vermont (a Level I trauma center 1 hour to the east).
