SPECIALTY: Pediatric NP/PA TYPE: Locum Tenens - 1099 contract LOCATION: Ketchikan, AK JOB NUMBER: 46586 DESCRIPTION: Opens shifts: Nov 18-24 and Dec 19 through the end of Dec. Need expected 6+ months or until perm in place. Shift Schedule Details & Shift Duration: Clinic Monday-Friday, 8a-5p. Call is 24 hours – covers inpatient rounding in labor and delivery and med/surg as well as ED consultation. 7-10 day stretches, as well as weekends and/or holidays. Will consider call coverage only. Minimum length of commitment requirement? 3+ months; 6 months highly preferred Minimum number of shifts required per month? Half time (to split with another locums); full time highly preferred Call Schedule/Responsibilities: Will rotate 24 hour call shifts with other physicians on site. While on call will have inpatient responsibilities – covers inpatient rounding in labor and delivery and med/surg as well as ED consultation. Inpatient unit has 20 beds and 5 nursery beds(total beds, pediatric patients are rare in medsurg) Patients per Day/Volume: 10-12 for clinic Type of Patients/Cases: regular clinic; while on call will see hospitalized patients and do ED/OB consults; will see newborns. Rounding, Admissions, discharges. Procedures/Cases Required: none requested Support Staff: other Ped physicians, nursing Responsible of Mid-Level Providers: No EMR: EPIC REQUIREMENTS Certifications/Qualifications Required (ACLS, BLS, MSQA, TEE, etc.): BLS, NRP Board Certified Required IMLC State: No Active State License Required?
