Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

You will join 5 full time CRNAs and 2 Anesthesiologists covering 5 Operating Rooms. The surgical service sees an average of 250 cases per month, including about 15 births. Practice in surgical suites with state-of-the-art anesthesia equipment. CRNAs here practice as active independent members of the Anesthesia Team. Your schedule is typically 7am-3pm, with few trauma cases. Specialties average half general surgery (including eyes and urology), 25% Orthopedics, 10% OB/GYN; and 15% other. Head and heart cases are not handled here. Practice under a Medical Supervision model that allows great flexibility and autonomy for our CRNAs.

You will be impressed by this “Top Rural Hospital” – a multiple Blue-Ribbon hospital (awarded by the Maine Health Alliance) and Women’s Choice Award winner. Leapfrog has given this hospital an “A” Safety Score every year since ratings began in 2012. The medical center is rated in the top 2% of all US hospitals for health information and patient safety technology and is the “Employer and Provider of Choice” in healthcare for Northern Maine and beyond.

You will be employed by the hospital, and you will earn a highly competitive salary of at least $200K plus benefits including additional pay for call, paid relocation assistance to bring you to beautiful Maine, paid liability insurance, health and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, paid time off for sick leave and vacations, more paid leave plus a budget for your CME, participation in retirement plans, and more. Ongoing assistance with student loans is also available.

Caribou boasts an extremely low crime rate, and recreation galore. A multi-million-dollar Recreation and Wellness Center offers indoor running, basketball and other programs for all ages, and other local facilities include a premier cross-country skiing venue that has hosted the Biathlon World Cup.
