NP / Nurse Practitioner / New York / Locum tenens / Bilingual FNP (Spanish) Job

A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking, licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join one of their facilities in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 4pm
• EMR: SigmaCare

Responsibilities:

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) will:

• Obtain complete medical history and physical data on patient
• Evaluate and interpret patient data in order to plan and implement appropriate nursing intervention
• Triage patients, in urgent care, if required and provide appropriate care
• Complete medical records in accordance to organizational policy
• Prescribe and administer medications based on patient needs and care plan
• Conduct patient education after assessing patient needs and prior knowledge
• Participate in staff and organizational meetings as requested for care coordination and development of policies and procedures
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in an Ambulatory Care role/setting
• Bachelor's Degree
• NYS Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Active and unrestricted NPI and DEA registration
• Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)

Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of related working experience
• Master's Degree
