Description
A health services network in Texas is currently seeking a licensed Physician, with a Family and/or Internal Medicine background, for a promising opportunity at one of their facilities in Fort Bend County. In this role, the Family / Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical services for members of family, regardless of age or sex, or type of problem, on a continuing basis.
Responsibilities:
The Family / Internal Medicine Physician will:
- Examine patient to ascertain presence of disease and to establish preventive health practices
- Elicit and record information about patients’ medical history
- Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition
- Analyze reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient
- Administer or prescribes treatments and medications
- Promote health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of diseases
- Determine need for modified diet and physical activities, and recommends plan
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients to immunize patients from communicable diseases
- Perform surgical procedures commensurate with surgical competency
- Refer patient to other medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for patients’ well-being
- Oversee, review, supervise, and act in preceptor role to family practice residents
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of Texas
- Board Eligible / Certified in a Family and/or Internal Medicine

- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
