Description
Locum Tenens Advanced Endoscopist Needed in North Carolina Specialty: Gastroenterology : EndoscopyCandidate Type: MD, DOVisa Accepted: No J-1 or H-1B Job Description We are seeking a board-certified Gastroenterologist to provide locum tenens coverage for their practice located near BEULAVILLE, North Carolina. Fellowship training in Advanced Endoscopy is required. The locum tenens provider should be proficient in EUS and ERCP. Coverage Needed: 1 week per month starting in January-ongoing during recruitment Monday-Friday 8a-5p Details: Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed level 1 trauma center Established practice with 5 experienced gastroenterologists and 1 Nurse Practitioner Anticipated volume: 5-8 procedures per day Procedures are typically Mon-Fri 8a-5p 4 procedure rooms Hospitalist handles admissions-GI team is a consult service GI Fellow takes first call 24 hours per day Some advanced GI night and weekend call when needed-can be done from home Procedures will include ERCP, EGD, Colonoscopy, and EUS State-of-the-art outpatient endoscopy center and newly renovated inpatient GI lab inclusive of 20 bays and 3 procedure rooms New high-definition scopes and fluoroscopy equipment BLS and ACLS required Provider will not respond to codes Average inpatient census: 4 This opportunity is located near Beulaville, NC.
