NP / Nurse Practitioner / California / Permanent / Urgent Care NP / PA Job

A health services network in California is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their Primary Care team in Marin County.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patients' acute care concerns
• Assist with common concerns and procedures, including: STI diagnosis and treatment, staple removal, suture removal, pelvic exams, I&Ds, IVs, nebulizer treatment, URIs, coughs, bronchitis, UTIs, chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatry screening and stabilization, etc.
• Maintain evidence-based and current knowledge as it relates to urgent care practice and procedures
• Educate patients on primary care topics (hypertension, diabetes, depression/anxiety, etc.)
• Assist with the initial management of acute changes in chronic conditions
• Document physical exam, procedures and in-office medications/prescriptions
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

•  2+ years of experience in an Urgent Care and/or Primary Care role/setting
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree
• Completed an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program
• CA Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) license
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

• Experience in a Primary Care role/setting
