Description
A managed care organization in Texas is actively seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team in Fort Bend County.
About the Opportunity:
- Department: Family Practice
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will
- Assess patients and develop a list of actual and potential needs/diagnoses
- Gather health history of patients through interview of patient and/or family members and physical examination
- Identify risk factors through discrimination of normal and abnormal findings obtained through health history, physical examination, laboratory and/or radiological test results, and behavioral assessment
- Recommend medications and/or other remedies used for common acute illnesses
- Counsel and educate about healthcare needs and/or health promoting activities
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of recent Clinical experience with the Elderly population
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Active TX Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
